Getting your event listed

Send it to us at /submit. It's free, you don't need an account, and we link straight to your own registration page — we don't take registrations for you.

A person reads every submission before it goes up, so it won't appear instantly. That is the trade for listings you can rely on.

Where listings come from

Two ways. Some are posted by the ministry running the event. Others we list ourselves, from information a ministry has already made public — a church calendar, a flyer, an event page.

When we list an event for someone, we publish facts only: the date, the time, the address, the price, and a link to their own registration page. We never copy their description. Every listing like that says where it came from and when we last checked it.

Claiming your event

If we listed your event, the listing has a “Is this your event? Claim it” link on it. Click it, tell us who you are, and a person will get back to you — usually within a couple of days.

We check claims by hand at the moment. It is slower than an automatic check and considerably harder to fool, and it means we never tell you a link works when it doesn’t. Automatic verification from your domain will come later; a claim hands someone control of a listing, so we would rather be slow than wrong.

We will never email you asking you to claim something. If you get a message like that saying it’s from us, it isn’t. The only email we send is the verification message you request yourself by clicking that link.

This is a deliberate rule, not an oversight. Emailing ministries to chase claims is cold outbound, and we would rather be a directory you find than a directory that finds you.

Corrections and removals

Something wrong? Tell us and we’ll fix it. Want your event off the directory entirely? Tell us and it comes down the same day — no argument, no retention pitch.

When a listing is removed, the page stops showing the event but the address keeps working. Breaking a link that someone already shared helps nobody.

What this costs

Listing an event is free. Browsing is free. There is no tier where a listing gets ranked higher because someone paid.

Later on, ministries that want to collect donations or run registration through us will be able to, and that part will carry a fee. It will be optional, it will be stated in plain numbers before anyone signs up, and nothing about it will affect a free listing.

Empty pages don’t exist here

A state page or a category page is created when it has something to show. When it doesn’t, it isn’t a page — you’ll get a 404 rather than a screen that says “0 events found.”

Most directories generate every possible combination of category and location and let you land on the empty ones. That wastes your time and it’s dishonest about how much is actually listed.
